He held publisher's positions for both daily and weekly newspapers – always in tough, competitive markets. He knows what it takes to get the job done. In addition, he has made it a priority to keep pace with the industry’s sharp turn toward digital. He also has extensive experience as an executive recruiter. While attending the University of California at Santa Barbara, Courtney worked in advertising sales for two California daily newspapers. Upon graduating, she worked in television production for an ad agency and in Los Angeles for VIACOM, a leading global entertainment company, in their West Coast magazine division. She then worked in sales and marketing in New York City, returning to Los Angeles. She has extensive experience with online marketing and social media outreach across multiple platforms. Her research capabilities, people skills and recruiting savvy have been contributing to the success of our firm for over 5 years.
Deborah spent over a decade in the newspaper business in advertising administration, personnel, and customer service. In addition she has years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on benefits administration for major employers in the state of California. This combined experience makes her a skilled, client-oriented executive recruiter.
